Maintains the highest standard and practices of food hygiene possible. As anybody box chefs are also responsible of the jobs of Kitchen Assistants and trainees, they should read and understand the job description of the Kitchen Assistants and trainees as well.</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p>• To follow and understand the directions given in company’s policies and documents.</p> <p>• To follow Health &amp; Safety, Food &amp; Hygiene and Fire Safety regulations.<br>• To follow Allergy regulations fully.<br>• To do the cleaning jobs as it described in Cleaning Schedule and to do daily cleaning jobs in and outside of our boxes.<br>• To understand the correct use and storage of chemicals and applying these knowledges to practice.<br>• To complete necessary prep and maintain prep levels in timely fashion.<br>• To set up, maintain prep work, and closes station for scheduled shift (e.g., checks and/or breaks down and cleans equipment, preps all appropriate food items, stocks all food items and dates food items and stores according to first in first out rotation method, etc.).<br>• Cook and plates section food items according to specifications and pre-set time limits.<br>• Follows all recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the brands and management.<br>• Communicates any product run outs, equipment issues, and quality or service problems to the Senior Box Chef on duty immediately.<br>• To do stock counting and placing them into our records whether as hard copies or electronic copies.<br>• To use our electronic platforms, to register or to correct all our records.<br>• To follow the delivery process and to get in touch with platforms to correct possible concerns.<br>• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Senior Food Team, Head Chef or Sous Chef at any time.<br>• Communicates with the Head Chef and Sen Box Chef any issues that become apparent during their shift.<br>• To follow the delivery process and to get in touch with platforms to correct possible concerns.</p> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Operational knowledge of hospitality equipment</li> <li>Ability to multi-task and prioritize</li> <li>Ability to work under pressure</li> <li>Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks</li> <li>Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures</li> <li>Familiar with industry's best practices</li> </ul> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.</li> <li>Incumbent is occasionally required to taste or smell</li> <li>Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs on a weekly basis.</li> <li>Be able to reach, bend, stoop and work in a standing position for a long period of time</li> </ul> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office</li> <li>Required to work in small Portable Kitchen for a shift period of 8.5 hours (approximate)</li> <li>Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism &amp; collaboration</li> <li>Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice including weekends, nights, holidays</li> </ul> <p>REEF Technology is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company.
