By connecting the world to your block, we’re making the place you live, the place you love to be.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p> <p>The Design Manager role will utilize their industry experience to analyze, design and document original design solutions for the REEF hub vessel product lines, including commercial kitchen and retail applications. You will be part of the Mobile Assets Design team and work on implementing key design strategies for new and existing brands, with supporting documentation to enable construction and launch.</p> <ul> <li>Create design and layout drawings for commercial kitchens, retail, and other REEF applications.</li> <li>Collaborate with Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality Control, Maintenance, Brands, Operations and other staff to improve design responsiveness and elevate design standards.</li> <li>Identify and evaluate solutions to design requirements.</li> <li>Perform continual QA/QC checks on drawings and documents to ensure accuracy of information.</li> <li>Collaborate with Project Leads and Program Management. Communicate with Program Management and provide support on key initiatives to advance best practices for Design and Mobile Assets.</li> <li>Interface with internal business partners to develop new design options, finalize project concepts and prepare final documents for internal approval.</li> <li>Interface with external consultants to enhance team productivity and develop specialized knowledge.</li> <li>Perform visits to vessel builders and operating sites to support execution and enablement of design solutions.</li> <li>Develop and create drawings, including bills of material and equipment lists.</li> <li>Utilize data and performance reports to improve design and production.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We want From You </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution (NCIDQ a plus)</li> <li>Knowledge and experience in culinary / foodservice operations, equipment, construction and project management.</li> <li>Have an understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, and integration of mechanical, electrical &amp; plumbing systems; experience with commercial kitchens is preferred</li> <li>1-2 years work experience in two or more of the following: a) Interior Design, b) Architecture and c) Space Planning or similar combination of education and experience</li> <li>Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)</li> <li>Skilled in AutoCAD required (REVIT a plus)</li> <li>Ability to read and review construction documents</li> <li>Proficient in programming and space planning for varying sized spaces</li> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in architectural and engineering drawings, concepts &amp; design</li> <li>Excellent organization and documentation skills</li> <li>Identify, quantify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner</li> <li>Consistently meets deadlines and completes tasks as previously defined</li> <li>Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form</li> <li>Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills</li> <li>Can learn new graphic software to compliment the presentation of new designs</li> <li>Possess analytical skills and the ability to develop conclusions and recommendations</li> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li> <li>Able to build strong relationships with internal and external partners to deliver effective services</li> <li>Assume ownership of requests to ensure successful completion</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and quality&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We’ll Provide </strong></p> <p>Medical<br>Dental<br>Vision<br>Life and Disability <br>401K<br>Paid Time Off (PTO)</p> <p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS: </strong><br>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.</p> <ul> <li>Frequently operate small office equipment such as a computer, tablet, and copier/printer, telephone.</li> <li>Work is performed in a professional office environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS:&nbsp;</strong><br>Work is performed indoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.</p> <p>REEF Technology is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company.
