What You’ll Do
As a member of our fast-growing regulatory team, you’ll be a primary contact for the business on a wide array of regulatory and related matters across the US. Under the supervision of the Senior Counsel you will work closely with the policy team on regulatory strategy and lobbying efforts while partnering with the rest of our legal teams to constantly peer around corners and anticipate potential future issues. Through this cross-functional work you will help drive legal strategies to ensure development of creative and proactive legal solutions on first-of-its kind legal issues and achieve ambitious operational goals for the business.  In short, our business is evolving daily. Guide the Business

  • Provide strategic counsel and advisement on state and local laws governing the launch and operation of our business lines, from land-use and zoning to health, food, business regulation and more
  • Be a “go-to” lawyer for our Ops teams around the country on anything touching the regulatory space or impacting day-to-day operations

 

Solve Problems

  • Work closely with local legal and policy experts to develop strategies to solve regulatory obstacles
  • Analyze and draft legislation applicable to our business on various topics including our live operations and new applications
  • Identify potential risks associated with new business lines and partner with internal and external stakeholders to find paths forward

  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and carry out meaningful project tasks under the supervision of Senior Counsel and Global Head of Regulatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years law firm experience advising on regulatory matters;
  • D. and license to practice law in at least one state (if not FL - must be authorized to register as Authorized House Counsel per RRTFB 17-1)
  • Ability to meet deadlines and collaborate with a team
