What You’ll Do

The Benefits Manager will provide project management support to benefits initiatives across the organization.  The person in this position will develop, coordinate, and maintain business processes associated with the company’s US benefits plans.  The Manager will partner with functional HR Leaders to ensure that plans are compliant, cost effective and aligned with the company’s brand, culture and values.  The Benefits Manager will interact with related departments (Payroll, Legal and Finance) and vendors for the full life cycle of projects and complex benefits inquiries.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and administer the Company’s 401(k) Plan to include serving as the project lead for the 401(k) Plan annual audit and non-discrimination testing;
  • Ensure compliance with the applicable ACA regulations to include administering hours tracking and medical plan eligibility for employees;
  • Manage all state and local benefits reporting requirements such as San Francisco HCSFO and MA healthcare filings;
  • Develop and maintain all employee benefits communications to include benefits guides, summaries, Open Enrollment communications and the employee benefits enrollment site;
  • Evaluate and lead any required updates to the various vendor benefits interfaces;
  • Oversee processing of all employee benefits deductions – particularly for new hires and terminations;
  • Perform ongoing audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy of data within the payroll systems and benefits vendors;
  • Assist with responding to employee and vendor inquiries as needed;
  • Fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Reef Technology for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success of the company; and
