The People Technology & Analytics team firmly believes an organization’s greatest asset are its people. This is a highly visible team and an exciting opportunity to utilize your creativity to help shape the future of People Data, Reporting and Analytics at REEF.

The People Analytics team is seeking a BI Engineer to meet REEF’s growing need to deliver mission critical insights regarding its workforce through compelling dashboards and reports. This is an exciting role that is an intersection between front end development and data engineering, where you will leverage various technologies across the Analytics Product Lifecycle.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with stakeholders (internal and external to the People Team) to gather requirements to deliver key insights to various stakeholders across the REEF platform
  • Deliver automated end-to-end solutions across the Analytics Product Lifecycle (e.g., front-end development, analysis, backend development)
    • Front End Development – Develop customized self service dashboards, utilizing graphic design techniques to visually communicate impactful insights
    • Analysis: Develop and operationalize models across the analytics maturity curve (e.g., descriptive, predictive) for people analytics use cases such as attrition models, workforce forecasting etc. Partner with stakeholders across the organization to define KPIs that impact the bottom line
    • Back End Development – Develop automated ETL workflows across disparate systems that result in curated data layers ready for analytics products.
  • Intimately understand the data across our various HR Systems; identify and implement opportunities to improve data quality, collection, storage and delivery across our systems
  • Create documentation for processes, data and other workflows as needed
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the capability, encompassing strategy, operations, and technology


What We Want From You

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field. Master’s in I/O Psychology preferred
  • 3+ years experience related work experience;
  • Back-end Development: +2 years experience with data warehousing, automated ETL workflows and data modeling leveraging tools such as SQL, Python, Spark and Airflow. Consolidating data across disparate systems. HR Systems experience preferred (e.g., UKG, Workday, Greenhouse etc).
  • Analysis: 2+ years experience hypothesis testing using descriptive statistics and machine learning (supervised and unsupervised). Experience with People Analytics use cases such as attrition, workforce planning, selection etc preferred
  • Front-end Development: 2+ years experience creating compelling visualizations in Tableau. Ability to create extensions using JavaScript preferred
  • Version control using GIT
  • Experience using Cloud Platforms such as Cloudera, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud etc.
  • Continuous learning mindset, especially across various technologies
  • Strong listening skills, ability to ask the right questions to identify root business problems to solve
  • Comfortable supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a very fast paced environment
  • Comfortable taking ownership and at times work in ambiguous situations
