What You’ll Do


We are looking for a Workers’ Compensation Specialist who will be responsible for the administration, delivery, compliance and communication of the company’s Workers’ Compensation program. You will guide employees and managers through the claims process. You should be comfortable in a dynamic environment and motivated to continuously improve the way we work.

  • Responsible for overall administration of the U.S. Workers Compensation program.
  • Serves as liaison with the Workers’ Compensation third party administrator (TPA), ensuring quality delivery of services, accurate and timely claim administration, and effective cost management.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for all matters relating to the Workers’ Compensation program.
  • Partners with the TPA to implement effective end-to-end claim management, identifying options for cost containment, evaluating requests for settlement of claims, initiating reviews and investigations, and facilitating timely return to work.
  • Provides requested information to claims adjusters or state workers’ compensation authorities in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with employees and managers, as needed, regarding the information needed to process claims and regarding work-related restrictions and return to work, and serves as primary contact for associates and managers regarding any workers compensation related questions.
  • Develops communications and leads internal training for Workers Compensation.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal and state laws
  • Stays current with trends and laws related to Workers’ Compensation.
  • Monitors claims reports, activity and trends.
  • Provides support for other projects as needed

What We Want From You

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years experience of handling workers' compensation claims.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an excellent "customer service" demeanor
  • Strong computer skills, particularly with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • The willingness and ability to quickly learn new computer software/systems
  • Must be able to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously without losing sight of timeframes and deadlines
