What You’ll Do

Experience Parks – Event Associate Position for 1789 Biscayne Blvd

The Events Manager role is both strategic and operational, organizing and executing REEF Park programming concepts. The REEF Parks event portfolio includes weekly in-person events ranging from small, curated concepts and monthly signature programs that include fireside chats, partner sponsored activations, and third party activated integrations.

The Events Manager is responsible for seamless execution from concept to completion of REEF Parks activations working directly with the Director of Experiential Marketing. The successful candidate possesses a deep understanding of all facets of event planning (permitting, catering, decor, and budget management), as well as a familiarity with Miami’s hospitality, nightlife, tech and startup ecosystem. Candidate must possess relationships with local sponsors and vendors, have excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Functions: 

  • Deliver strategic quarterly programming calendars
  • Conceptualize and execute daily programming concepts that touch on key experience categories including impact, thought leadership, arts and culture, wellness, and live entertainment
  • Drive parks onsite revenue for all applications
  • Be present at all events to oversee brand and operational elements, as well as quality control and hospitality
  • Source programming partners, speakers, sponsors, event organizers and creative agencies
  • Create a robust pipeline of trusted partners and vendors
  • Organize weekly stakeholder planning calls, and team updates
  • Manage Monthly Events Budget
  • Create and design decks for bespoke activations, project briefs, and recaps for clients and internal stakeholders
  • Lead event staff in collaboration with Parks General Manager and third-party vendors
  • Manage Execution of all events at REEF Park programming and events
  • Manage vendor relations
  • Creating a detailed run of show for every event
  • Source permits as required for street closure, special events, and any other required paperwork
  • Work within allotted budgets whilst seeking diverse and innovative ways to create new revenue streams
  • Work with marketing to develop and support campaigns
  • Manage speakers in collaboration with the Communications team
  • Utilize Bynder to request creative assets, source collateral imagery, catalogue images and collaborate with marketing, editorial, social, and video production teams
  • Stay current with the latest event industry trends and cultural shifts; have a deep understanding of what drives the local community

What We Want From You:

  • A minimum of 5 years working experience in event management
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Familiarity with Asana, Bynder, Salesforce, Tripleseat, Sevenrooms, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Superb organizational, analytical, and coordinating abilities
  • Acute attention for detail
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Deep familiarity with driving audiences to a venue
