Department:  Information Technologies and Facilities Management

Title:  Facilities Technician

Job Description:

The Facilities Technician works and documents repairs needed throughout the parking department locations. Coordinates with contractors and city employees on small and large scale repairs. Researches costs and evaluate repairs needed, provides reports and gets directives from the Engineering Facilities Manager.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds to work orders and field related problems.
  • Perform minor repairs within the parking facilities.
  • Coordinate repairs with approved contractors and follow up.
  • Review all work order follow ups and report each week.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on small motor equipment.
  • Perform filter change out twice a year on all HVAC systems.
  • Assist with facility inspections and building upkeep.
  • Assists with project products and tool ordering.
  • Assist with staff in snow abatement efforts as needed.
  • Provide monthly closed work order reports.
  • Assists with training as needed with all maintenance motor equipment
