Who You’ll Work For

REEF transforms urban spaces into community hubs that create jobs and bring new goods, services and experiences to the neighborhood. With an ecosystem of 5,000 locations and a team that’s over 18,000 strong, REEF is the largest operator of parking real estate and delivery restaurants in North America. By connecting the world to your block, we’re making the place you live, the place you love to be.

What You’ll Do

As the Game Designer for REEF University, you’re a consummate gamer who will turn our employee journey into an app-based storytelling, learning, and gamified journey. You will “own” the game design and features, from concept to implementation (end-to-end from the design side) for an innovative experience with an eye towards immersive and competitive (rewards-based) learning engagement. As a specialist in gaming, you’ll work with technical development and learning teams to implement a digital badging and points framework for this innovative learning experience.
You will join and contribute to the growth of our rapidly expanding team through the design and management of our mobile learning app. If you’re excited by the prospect of playing a significant role within an established but fast-growing start-up -- you should read on!

  • Represent REEF University as a specialist on gaming industry trends and technical aspects of game design.
  • Collaborate with learning, business, product, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into design and feature specifications.

What We Want From You:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Game Design or Theory, UX or UI Design, Storytelling, or another relevant discipline.
  • 2+ years of practical work experience in the field, including design of multiple successful mobile games or extensive live game experiences.
  • Experience in feature design and the ability to create fun gameplay that drives learning and social engagement.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities like a seasoned pro.
