What You'll Do:

Parking Supervisors will control traffic and provide direction for visitors to Hapuna Beach State Park. Representing the State Parks Department for the State of Hawaii, the Parking Supervisor is responsible for providing the best in customer service to park visitors. Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. Note: Candidate must currently reside on Hawaii and preferably within a reasonable commute from Hapuna Beach State Park.

Create work schedules to assure required staffing
Report directly to Operations Manager
Work closely with and daily communication with State Park Employees
Supervision of Parking Ambassador Staff
Assist customers with directions, answering questions, and providing a sense of safety by acting in an alert and caring manner
Assist customers with payment at the paystations located at the park.
Picking/sweeping up any loose trash
Monitoring activity of local visitors and tourists and writing reports with same information
Notifying State Parks employees of any issues Periodically review the occupancy of facility to determine if lot is full and act per instructions. Issue parking notices for violators

What We Want From You:

Minimum 2 years of Supervisory and Team Leading Experience
Excellent Customer Service Required
Ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet Parking Program requirements
Must enjoy working outdoors and engaging with the public
Must be flexible over a 7 day period for scheduling

Stand for extended periods of time.
Able to walk, stand for up to 10 hours.
Able to bend, crouch, reach.
Able to lift 25 pounds.

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather.
Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
