REEF is growing fast, and we are partnering with Wendy's® to expand our delivery only kitchens to local neighbourhoods!
We are seeking Shift Leaders who have a passion for food and be responsible for leading the kitchen team in preparation and cooking of the world famous Wendy’s® Menu, ensuring food of high quality and consistency is delivered to hungry customers. Our Shift Leaders support the Vessel Captain (Kitchen Manager) in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Wendy’s® Kitchen.
A mixture of opening and closing shifts, closing usually finish between 12am to 1am, with an opportunity for late night shifts on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a pay rate uplift for the entire shift.

Lead the kitchen team on shift, preparing Wendy’s® menu items to order
Be fully confident in all stations and within the vessel, and be able to recognise and drive improvement opportunities
Food focused, performing regular quality checks to ensure high standards across all brands.
Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with team, creating a positive atmosphere on shift
Inspiring and motivating kitchen team members in order to endure the smooth running of the shift.
Train new staff members and ensure company standards are complied with.
Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, food quality and hygiene.
Handle, store and rotate all products properly (FIFO)
Drives Wendy's® brand and REEF standards and ensure specifications are maintained
Help foster an inclusive, engaging and supportive atmosphere
Effectively run shifts, keeping focus on the key performance metrics
Skills and/or Experience
Kitchen supervisory experience working in a commercial kitchen
Passionate about food, enjoy the buzz of working in a fast-paced environment
Willing to use our various kitchen equipment, such as the fryer and the grill
Positive attitude and approach with colleagues
Able to multi-task and prioritise work, working under time pressures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks, with an eye for detail
Comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, and standing for extended periods
Stand and move for most, if not all your shift and comfortable handling raw ingredients including meat
Able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines
Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands with full time between 30-40 hours a week, or potentially more if you are available. Shifts typically openings, late closing and some night shifts if available (not compulsory) with a pay uplift.
Available to work varied shift patterns across the week, with occasional late finishes
