Operational Excellence Manager 
Location: Miami, FL 

Salary: $60,000 -$70,000

What You’ll Do

The Ops Excellence Manager will evaluate and make improvements to business processes. You will work across different functional areas across all the different business verticals within REEF. As Ops Excellence Manager you will ensure the efficiency of business operations and create and implement changes or improvements as needed. You will generate documentation of existing processes and suggest improvements, forecast expected results of process changes, analyze implemented changes and make further adjustments to workflow, schedules or other processes as required. As a Ops Excellence Manager you will present their findings and suggested improvements to incorporate change in the analyzed business processes. You will work with the Corporate Operational Excellence Office to optimize operational efficiencies through continuous improvements and reduce spending, fueling value creation and business growth.

  • Identify business process challenges by analyzing process data and metrics.
  • Facilitate teams to critically review current processes for effectiveness, quality and simplification.
  • Develop and implement process solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop process workflow and design in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training programs on new processes as needed.
  • Monitor and measure the benefits of post process implementation to ensure product quality, efficiency, and improvement.
  • Identify risks and issues in business processes and systems.
  • Identify and analyze business processes to be improved.
  • Lead a team that will be responsible for process assessments, and process design and redesign.
  • Analyze operating data and statistics to identify opportunities, develop action plans, and implement process improvements.
  • Prepare business process reports for management and customers.
  • Maintain and update all the process related reports for reference purposes.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the organization’s business lines and products.
  • Assist in promoting the implementation of best practices.
  • Recommend innovative business and technical solutions to improve operational effectiveness.

What We Want From You:

The ideal candidate will have analytical, communication and organizational skills that are key for the role of a Ops Excellence Manager. The candidate must possess strong written and oral communication abilities, as they will be responsible for creating documents, interacting with managerial staff and training employees as needed. The candidate should be a detail-oriented problem-solver who is able to employ leadership, critical thinking and time management skills and can work effectively both independently and in teams. They should be familiar with all phases of project management, be able to work with people of diverse backgrounds, understand quality control concepts and develop creative and innovative ways to improve business processes. Beyond these abilities and characteristics, the Ops Excellence Manager should also possess the following skills:

  • Must have restaurant management experience.
  • Lead all communications to the operations organization
  • Knowledge of diverse business processes in a wide range of industries.
  • Develop and design documents including training manuals, process outlines, flowcharts and implementation procedures.
  • Monitor internal controls and make recommendations as needed.
  • Coordinate teams and train staff.
  • Reduce process errors, improve process results and save costs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4-8 years of Process development, Improvement Experience, Six Sigma or LEAN certification preferred.
  • 4-8 years of Project Management experience
