What You’ll Do: 

The Traffic Officer performs a variety of tasks to ensure a quality guest experience, and the smooth operation of the parking facility that exceeds our customer/client’s expectations. Depending on the needs of the location, the Traffic Officer is responsible for directing and controlling vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic at the garage entrance and exit before, during and after events.  

PRINCIPAL DUTIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): 

  • Greet arriving and departing guests in a friendly and courteous manner. 
  • Direct and control vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic at garage entrance and exit  
  • Assist guests in operating pay machines; educate guests in regard to parking policies. 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Must be a current Seattle Police Department Officer 
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills 
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests and parking attendants  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Constantly move around the property by walking for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift 
  • Stand for extended periods of time, sometimes for entire duration of shift 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Work is performed outdoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather.
