What You’ll Do

  • Preparation and processing of the company’s monthly payroll. 
  • Maintains payroll information by collecting, calculating, entering and analyzing data. 
  • Update payroll records by entering changes in job title and department/division transfers. 
  • Prepares reports and analysis by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. 
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee income and social security taxes and employer's social security payments. 
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. 
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests from other departments. 
  • Maintains payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes. 
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • Review and maintain payroll tax records as filed and submitted by Payroll Company 
  • Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion

What We Want From You:

  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) 
  • Developed math aptitude and detail orientation needed. 
  • Ability to calculate pay including standard deductions, taxes and garnishments. 
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll taxes and government payroll regulations. 
  • Strong understanding of various deductions and tax treatments. 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong follow-up skills  
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and a team player 
  • Fluent in English 
  • Minimum five (5) years of payroll/HRIS experience. Familiar with HR practices a plus.   
  • Experience in processing payroll through a bureau preferred. 
  • Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
