What You’ll Do

In the Sales and Partnership Manager role you will lead negotiations on our dark retail product and value proposition. You will generate strategic opportunity with national, mid-market, top local retailer and CPG brands.

You are a high performer business development professional, with strong business acumen. You are capable of engaging in business level and P&L focused conversations with C-level executives at publicly traded companies and the industry’s top local businesses. You can develop specific evaluation criteria to impact partner selection for our dark store portfolio. Operating in a fast pace environment you are agile and able to prioritize and be selective. Complex, multi-party sales process in a highly consultative manner is your way to impact. You are an analytical thinker who enjoys building financial models, mapping out P&L implications of potential deal structures, and working cross-functionality with our Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to close deals..

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Business Development – Build relationship with key Partners, Execute on the business sales strategy and play a key role in business performance.
  • Conduct market research, use data-driven- decision making to drive sales and experiment new opportunities.
  • Extract maximum value from each Partner by up-selling and cross-selling services and products to tailor offerings
  • Lead cross-functional efforts working closely with the Merchandising, Supply Chain, Brand Success and Marketing teams to ensure success of each Partnership.
  • Develop deep understanding of the competitive environment for assigned areas to assess overall impact on business.
  • Perform competitive market and brand analysis to develop growth strategy for specific markets.
  • Share any relevant information, insight and report with Partners, own the relationship nurturing and generate expansion opportunity.
  • Assist in brand launch as needed and ensure execution is up to specifications agreed. ​
  • Other duties may be assigned and modified by supervisor.

  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience in outside sales, business development, partnerships management or similar role required.
  • Previous experience working in the CPG industry within business development preferred.
  • Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint); previous experience with lead generation systems preferred.
