What You’ll Do
You’ll be responsible for primarily reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating Auto and General Liability claims occurring across REEF’s real estate portfolio. You’ll collaborate and drive strategy on complex Auto and General Liability claims with current and former TPAs. You’ll thrive working in a high-paced, high-production environment that focuses heavily on exceptional customer service.
Provide positive customer and client experience while appropriately handling the management of Auto and General Liability claims by obtaining information and maintaining accurate records about the incident from field staff and customers through web-based claim system, telephone, email, and written reports.
Initiate claims notification to customer and operations on same day as incident
Document claim file with notes, updates and decision-making process
Collect, review and evaluate damage estimates and medical information
Analyze and set file reserves to the anticipated most probable outcome
Arrange and schedule field appraisals when estimates received require an independent review
Work with our preferred body shops to complete vehicles repairs
Verify body shop invoices agree with authorized repair, are appropriately priced and authorize payment
Issues denials on accidents not caused by our operations
Negotiate and Settle claims according to best practices
Work effectively with garage staff, field supervisors and management
Refer litigation matters to counsel and communicate with insurance and third-party administrators as required
Manage caseload through a diary system
Identify priority and high value claims with urgency and drive to resolution
Prepare select claims and present to leadership settlement authority and strategy
Attend and lead file reviews internally and with TPAs
Own and manage claims data so that REEF can gain valuable insights and drive strategy and change throughout the organization
Handle claims involving additional Coverages as assigned
Partner with Risk and Legal to drive strategy and resolution of claims
Collaborate with the Director of Claims to ensure proper claims TPA oversight
Special assignments or projects as assigned
What We Want From You:
3+ years claims experience or similar related work experience
Experience with Auto collision repair procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual (English, Spanish, French) a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong organization and time management skills
Ability to work and adapt to change in a demanding fast-paced environment
