What You’ll Do 
You’ll be responsible for leading and managing an Auto and General Liability Claims Team that handles claims occurring across REEF’s real estate portfolio.  You’ll collaborate and drive strategy on complex Auto and General Liability claims with current and former TPAs.  You’ll thrive working in a high-paced, high-production environment that focuses heavily on exceptional customer service.  

Provide positive customer and client experience while ensuring the appropriate handling and management of Auto and General Liability claims by obtaining information and maintaining accurate records about the incident from field staff and customers through web-based claim system, telephone, email, and written reports. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Build and establish appropriate claims management SOPs and ensure claims team follows protocols 
  • Track, analyze and report on loss runs and key claim statistics 
  • Build Team Goals and KPIs and conduct claim audits to drive compliance 
  • Partner with Legal on claims related to litigation 
  • Handle complex/high profile claims as assigned by the Director of Claims 
  • Analyze and ensure file reserves are set to the most probable outcome 
  • Negotiate and Settle claims according to best practices 
  • Work effectively with garage staff, field supervisors and management 
  • Refer litigation matters to counsel and communicate with insurance and third-party administrators as required 
  • Manage caseload through a diary system  
  • Identify priority and high value claims with urgency and drive to resolution 
  • Prepare select claims and present to leadership for settlement authority and strategy 
  • Attend and lead file reviews internally and with TPAs 
  • Own and manage claims data so that REEF can gain valuable insights and drive strategy and change throughout the organization 
  • Partner with Risk and Legal to drive strategy and resolution of claims 
  • Special assignments or projects as assigned 
  • Optimizes the structure, efficiency, and delivery of claims management services for the entire organization 
  • Partners with internal stakeholders and other support departments to deliver exceptional client service 
  • Hires, Develops, and oversees all staff within the Claims Management Department   
  • Manages all outsourced Claims Management vendor relationships – TPA, claims management and other services in collaboration with the Director of Claims 

What We Want From You:  

  • 3+ years Auto & GL claims experience  
  • Experience with Leadership a plus 
  • Experience with Auto collision repair procedures 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, bilingual (English, Spanish, French) a plus 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Strong organization and time management skills 
  • Ability to work and adapt to change in a demanding fast-paced environment
