What You’ll Do:

Reef’s mission is to connect the world to your block.  We transform underutilized urban spaces into neighborhood hubs that connect people to locally curated goods, services, and experiences.  We employ a team of design engineers skilled in the field of science and technology, and we are currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join this expanding team. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals, explain complex information about our hub and vessel designs in a clear and concise manner and working with engineering staff to ensure accuracy of product descriptions. Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Create and periodically update technical instructions for entry into service inspections
  • Manage fleet technical data, drawings and establish document retention system.
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature in conjunction with the creative team
  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications
  • Produce electronic documentation and/or hard copy manuals
  • Other special assignments and tasks as assigned by your direct supervisor".  

What We Want From  you:

  • Bachelor degree in engineering such as civil, mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • At least 4 years experience as a Technical Writer.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to write in explanatory, procedural and persuasive styles for multiple audiences.
  • Experience in the Airport, Package Delivery, RV, Construction, or Commercial Kitchens industries is desired.
