What You’ll Do 
As a technical writer for REEF’s mobile assets team, you’ll act as a point person to mobile assets leadership and technical experts by mobilizing your technical skills and expertise to craft and curate compelling technical content to broad audiences. If you’re looking to intersect your affinity for transforming complex processes to concise, easy-to-interpret content, we’ve got a Technical Writer role just for you! 

  • Works closely with the mobile assets team members to document new processes or update existing processes, create streamlined process flowcharts, and establish a digital repository  
  • Facilitate documentation requirements as needed through writing, editing, layout and design, and charts and illustrations  
  • Leverage technical background to produce critical Mobile Assets, including instructional manuals, policies and procedures, reports, job aids, workflow diagrams, and more 
  • Ascertain new (often complex) Mobile Assets systems quickly, grasp technical concepts, and translate to compelling, understandable documents for both technical and non-technical readers. 
  • Works on various subject matter experts across the mobile asserts team understand complex terms and processes focused on product design, supply chain, procurement, equipment operations and more 
  • Establish and maintain editorial, layout and design standards, and style guides 
  • Accountable for maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy 
  • Provides general support to the overall Mobile Assets team as needed. 

What We Want From You 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in engineering or related technical field 
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing 
  • Excellent written, content design, and strategic communication skills 
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook 
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • High standards of excellence and attention to detail 
  • Poise, presence, and professionalism 
  • Resourceful, able to think on feet and independently interpret complex concepts under tight, swift-maneuvering deadlines  
  • Must have a calm demeanor and cope well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment  
  • Excellent team skills, pro-active self-starter with an approachable "can do" attitude
