What You’ll Do

Serving as the Thermal Screening Supervisor at Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, the Supervisor is a dedicated and detail-oriented, hardworking leader with excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to coach and lead with aspirational technique.  Leadership experience in high-traffic environment would be a plus but is not required.

  • Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Thermal Screening Supervisor will oversee the following:
  • Supervising the daily operational activities of the screening operation and its employees
  • Ensuring the service and hospitality standards are constantly met despite many regular challenges
  • Preparing and generating timesheets, and covering breaks for employees
  • Keeping track of the overall appearance of the equipment and ensure equipment is up to company and client standards.
  • Help the Operations Manager keep a pro-active list of scenarios, completed tasks, anticipated challenges, etc. for weekly client meetings.
  • Engaging patients, employees, and guests in a friendly and polite manner to ensure safety and constant flow of traffic
  • Investigating and resolving problems, internally and externally, relating to the screening area or screening operation, in coordination with Memorial Hermann Management when Operations Manager is not on duty.
  • Contributing to quality improvement ideas both on a practical, small scale, and at a big picture.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, competency forms, help fill in shifts when needed and any other duties Manager assigns.
  • Conducting periodic station checks randomly and to provide necessary documents. (Audits)
  • Update Service Policies as per location and ensure that new hires have received and signed
  • Available weekends and major holidays when hospital is open.  Open to working doubles when needed.
  • What We Want From You:

    • At least 18 years of age
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Ability to verbally communicate with guests and staff
    • Previous supervisor experience preferred


    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions:

    • Standing for extended period of time, up to entire duration of shift
    • Frequently operate small office equipment such as a computer, tablet, copier/printer, and telephone.


    • Work is performed indoors for extended periods of time including up to the entire duration of shift.
    • Personal Protective Equipment is provided and required
