Essential Job Functions

The trainer identifies and communicates best practices across all operations divisions and channels to develop and drive consistency in work processes and benchmarking standards of performance of Operations leaders. The trainer is the key driver in developing and implementing a culture of continuous improvement throughout REEF. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive aptitude in assigned area through daily validations by conducting audits, side by side development, validation ensuring team members are trained properly and certified.  
  • Ensure training according to set standards established by REEF.
  • Ensure facility remain safe and all equipment and technology are up to date and compliant including update-to-date rules, and continued training.
  • Responsible for audits as necessary.   
  • Determine resources needed and advise Operations Manager.
  • Align with responsible manager to ensure internal programs are effective and performed at a level to ensure compliance with current REEF Policies and Procedures. 
  • Support in preparing training materials for employee training.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. 
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for leading the change process by working closely with the management team.
  • Lead, train, and monitor performance of team members to ensure efficiency in service operations.
  • Timely and accurate completion of duties. 
  • Other duties may be assigned and modified by supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence individuals at all levels in the organization to problem-solve complex issues. 
  • Proven capabilities in managing and executing Operational Excellence initiatives in a growing and fast paced environment. 
  • Ability to perform under pressure and lead multiple priorities with competing demands while instilling confidence in the business and demonstrating the business value of Operational Excellence activities.
  • Proven track record as not only as a “coach/leader” leading others, but also having the willingness and ability to roll up the sleeves and engage in detailed execution when required. 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills directing workflow and leading a team. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.  
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Knowledge

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in operations training
  • Previous experience working in safety operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
