What You’ll Do

We are seeking a Treasury Analyst who will support the Treasury Department. This position will assess, monitor, plan and manage the efficient utilization of cash, credit card and other financial services in a manner consistent with the objectives of the group.

The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for the following:

  • Monitor and analyze daily, weekly and monthly reports on the global cash position to cover cash commitments and optimize the short-term vs long term investing opportunities
  • Work with the Treasury Group to maintain and rationalize the company’s choice of key global banks including the analysis of bank fee structures, services, relationships, credit levels and counterparty credit quality/exposure
  • Act as a treasury liaison with the company’s business units in setting up new banking accounts, services, and handling bank inquiries and related matters
  • Perform bank account management activity, which includes facilitating opening and closing of bank accounts, providing KYC documentation to banking partners, updating banking signatories, and implementing changes to banking services.
  • Perform internet banking system administration activities and recurring user access and entitlement reviews.
  • Implement new bank technologies, products, and services to improve cash cycle and scale company operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Help identify and proactively search for ways to optimize management of cash, working capital and capital structure.
  • Monitoring and developing reporting for credit card activity;
  • Understanding contractual arrangements with our credit card acquirers including pricing and rates;
  • Developing a monitoring program to audit pricing structures of activity;
  • Managing, and supervising all aspects of credit card cash flow;
  • Developing a monitoring program to audit pricing structures of activity;
  • Managing, aspects of daily and monthly accounting activity as pertaining to Treasury;
  • Developing and enhancing a reporting structure of Bonds and LC’s for Canada and US operations;
  • Managing relationships with the financial service providers;
  • Managing appropriate accounting procedures and processes;
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Skills and experience:

  • Minimum Bachelors’ Degree; prior corporate treasury experience preferred;
  • 3 years’ experience in building complex financial models to evaluate various financial plans;
  • 3 years’ experience in the preparation of financial schedules;
  • 2 years’ experience in presenting and preparing proposals to recommend new products/services;
  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills;
  • General knowledge of GAAP and IFRS;
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills;
  • Exposure to credit card processing and acquirer services is a bonus
